#17 Final Thoughts

I think the MMSCL 2.0 program is a creative program because it helps to encourage people to try many of the different things and learn much about what is on the internet. As well as just giving one insight on how to use each and everyone of the sites that were listed on the posting, I found it to be quite enjoyable. I learned a lot especially about the RSS feeds and saw how much easier it makes something so difficult seem when I actually got to learn about it. In all it was all educational and I enjoyed every part of learning all that I didn't know about each topic.

#14 What's a Wiki?

A wiki is a posting that may be edited by everyone and anyone. They do not need to be registered to the site to be able to edit the posting that has been put up by other people. It is very interesting for people to be able to share there knowledge with other people so easily without even having to know HTML coding. This same type of programs can be used in libraries, as a summary guide or as a rating on different book that may be in the library so that people may be able to go by the ratings of other people as a guide to finding the books that are good for them. It could also be used for people to leave suggestions such as "If you liked this book you should try reading..." or "Look out for the sequel which has just come out recently it's called..."

Finding New Feeds

I used Technorati to find new feeds...I browse through the different categories from the site. There were so many interesting categories and the one that interest me most was an article about YouTube will premiere a movie, the first simultaneous Internet and theater debut, as the popular video-sharing site.

Discovering Feeds

I think that the patrons will respond well to these new RSS feeds. It makes it simple to get around the site and find what you are looking for. This will also help the community more because they will be able to sign up for events that they may be able to take their children to, without having to actually come into the library. This will make more people sign up due to how easy it is to sign up through the internet at their homes instead of having to come in and sign up.

Craiglist

This was really interesting.I enjoyed browsing through different topics such as for sale, jobs, and discussion forum. I picked this site:
http://studentrate.com/StudentRate
because i like to shop, and through this I found another way to save!

Goggle Docs

This tool was easy to do so that's made me to like i =]

RSS

This is interesting.I subscribed movie to different movie feeds, simply because I love to watch movie. And through this, I have a place to see trailers of new movie releases. Very usefull.

Suffolk Wave

The title "100 Ways to Create Wealth" by Steve Chandler and Sam Beckford, caught my interest as I was browsing through audiobooks. I sat down and listened for approximately 20 mins....Maybe I was better of reading it.

Youtube

As i browse for an interesting video,I received an email from my grade school teacher. She wanted to share a video about her school.
I find this video so interesting because not only that she included me on the video, but also because it made me feel that I am very much appreciate...A very heartwarming video.

Flickr

I LOVE flickr. It could show me thousands of images of anything i could think of. I searched for sunset because its my favorite time of the day. And what make this picture (http://www.flickr.com/photos/lenareh/2949095188/)so cool is that when I was on vacation in Philippines I went to this exact place :)

LibrararyThing

LibraryThing is actually very useful especially to those who love to read. I think its cool how the "Talk and Groups" allows members to connect to other members to maybe discuss about a book they're reading, just read, etc. The site is also great with reviews. But I think this site wont be as helpful to me as to others because I dont read as much.
Well as of searching 7th Heaven and checking the tag cloud, I found this confusing. The directions just werent specific enough i guess.

Delicious

I like this site.I found a lot of interesting sites I've never heard of.
I bookmarked the site of imeem, which is a site where you could listen to music or watch music videos.I love this site because I could listen to any music i like. It is always up-to-date.And most of all this site allow you to create your own playlist, which can be added to any site such as Myspace profile.

I would deffinitely go back to Delicious...when i get free time.

Myspace/facebook

Myspace and Facebook have few differences. The looks or design of the 2 websites are very different.Myspace actually gives more information about the person's profile while facebook just kind of give out the specifics. Both are great.
Myspace is much popular as Facebook since its been around longer.
I enjoy using Myspace because its a great way to get in touch with my friends.
As i glance through our library's Facebook and Myspace i think it is very useful to patrons. It helps them by getting the information about our programs, library hours, browse about the library and the nice pictures.

Twitter

I think twitter wont be to useful to me.Therefore I dont think i would ever use it again.
I posted Despereaux on twitter, since its the most recent movie i seen.
