#17 Final Thoughts

I think the MMSCL 2.0 program is a creative program because it helps to encourage people to try many of the different things and learn much about what is on the internet. As well as just giving one insight on how to use each and everyone of the sites that were listed on the posting, I found it to be quite enjoyable. I learned a lot especially about the RSS feeds and saw how much easier it makes something so difficult seem when I actually got to learn about it. In all it was all educational and I enjoyed every part of learning all that I didn't know about each topic.

#14 What's a Wiki?

A wiki is a posting that may be edited by everyone and anyone. They do not need to be registered to the site to be able to edit the posting that has been put up by other people. It is very interesting for people to be able to share there knowledge with other people so easily without even having to know HTML coding. This same type of programs can be used in libraries, as a summary guide or as a rating on different book that may be in the library so that people may be able to go by the ratings of other people as a guide to finding the books that are good for them. It could also be used for people to leave suggestions such as "If you liked this book you should try reading..." or "Look out for the sequel which has just come out recently it's called..."

Finding New Feeds

I used Technorati to find new feeds...I browse through the different categories from the site. There were so many interesting categories and the one that interest me most was an article about YouTube will premiere a movie, the first simultaneous Internet and theater debut, as the popular video-sharing site.

Discovering Feeds

I think that the patrons will respond well to these new RSS feeds. It makes it simple to get around the site and find what you are looking for. This will also help the community more because they will be able to sign up for events that they may be able to take their children to, without having to actually come into the library. This will make more people sign up due to how easy it is to sign up through the internet at their homes instead of having to come in and sign up.

RSS

This is interesting.I subscribed movie to different movie feeds,simply because I love to watch movie. And through this, I have a place to see trailers of new movie releases. Very usefull.
